Position Summary:
Kinder+DeBauche is seeking a dynamic and motivated Part-Time Grant Writing Consultant to join our team. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team that works with a variety of non-profit organizations across all sectors. Working within a collaborative and mission-driven culture, the Part-Time Grant Writing Consultant will help drive philanthropic growth for our clients.
Ideal candidates are highly self-motivated, bring demonstrated experience in grant writing, and exceptional relational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
With management from the Grants and Development Lead Strategist and Principal:
Plan, coordinate, write, and edit grant proposals, including all required supporting materials, in collaboration with Kinder+DeBauche staff;
Craft grant proposals that are well-researched and customized to adhere to stipulated funding requirements and client needs;
Conduct grant research based on client focus areas;
Maintain grant tracking tools for internal project management and client-facing applications;
Attend grant client calls and Kinder+DeBauche project status meetings; and
Other duties as assigned based on client needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of grant writing at a nonprofit organization, with demonstrated success in receiving grants;
Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and large projects simultaneously;
Self-directed work style with the ability to manage deadlines, priorities, and multiple client engagements;
Critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and attention to detail;
Familiarity with fundraising best practices, donor pipelines, and philanthropic trends; and
Possesses a valid driver’s license or can obtain one within six months of employment.

Working within a collaborative and mission-driven culture, the Contract Grant Writing Consultant will help drive philanthropic growth for our clients.
Kinder+DeBauche Contract Grant Writing Consultants are 1099 contractor positions. In keeping with IRS rules for contractors, Kinder+DeBauche does not provide training, office space, equipment, software, or close supervision, and it does not pay taxes on wages. Kinder+DeBauche does not guarantee hours, and all assignments are contingent on the contractor’s acceptance. All contractors are expected to provide their own equipment and supplies necessary to complete the contract assignments they accept. Contractors are also expected to pay their own taxes, and to have the skills required to complete project deliverables per each assignment’s specifications.
